Narendra Modi first talked about his campaign on February 23, 2025 (Sunday) during his radio show, Mann Ki Baat. He then took to X to nominate ten key personalities and asked them to further nominate ten people each to make the campaign bigger.
Ten key personalities nominated by Narendra Modi are philanthropist & MP Sudha Murthy, shooting champion Manu Bhaker, actor R Madhavan, singer Shreya Ghoshal, and J&K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, to mention a few. Indian javelin champion Neeraj Chopra has long been an advocate for a fit nation, and was mentioned by Narendra Modi during his radio show.
Narendra Modi has urged Indians to reduce the consumption of edible oil by 10%, and encourage other citizens to do the same.
