:::The number of Corona Cases across India were as follows:

:::A group of researchers at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi developed a device that can generate electricity from water drops, raindrops, ocean waves, and water streams. The device is called Liquid-Solid Interface Triboelectric Nanogenerator and it is made up of nano-composite polymers and contact electrodes that have been specially designed for the device. The device can power small devices like watches, healthcare sensors, pedometers, and digital thermometers, to name a few. The development was led by Professor Neeraj Kahre who hails from the Department of Physics. He was assisted by the members of the Nanoscale Research Facility (NRF), IIT Delhi.

The development of the device is supported by the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology and the Department of Science & Technology.


:::The results of the Russian Parliamentary election concluded that the ruling United Russia Party secured the majority of more than two-third out of 450 seats of State Duma. The United Russia Party received a share of 49.83% while other parties namely the Communist Party, the LDPR party, and the Fair Russia Party received 19%, 7.5%, and 7.5% share respectively.

The results of the Russian Parliamentary election concluded that the ruling United Russia Party secured the majority of more than two-third out of 450 seats of State Duma.

Following the declaration of the results, all the opponents of the United Russia Party have started accusing the Russian authorities of committing fraud on a mass scale.

:::Air Marshal VR Chaudhari, decorated with PVSM, AVSM, and VM, has been selected to take over as the Chief of Air Staff. He was commissioned into the fighter stream of the Indian Air Force on December 29, 1982. He has, since then, held various positions related to Command, Staff, and Instructional Appointments at various levels.

His position as the Chief of Air Staff comes into effect from September 30, 2021, the day when the current Chief of Air Staff RKS Bhadauria retires.


:::Gautam Adani, the Chairman of Adani Group, announced that the company would invest in renewable energy generation and component manufacturing, transmission & distribution. He mentioned that a fund of $20 billion would be invested over 10 years.

The fund is being invested with a plan to triple the renewable power generation capacity over 4 years and foray into the production of green hydrogen.

:::Kovalam (Tamil Nadu) and Eden (Puducherry) received International Blue Flag Certification. The news was announced by Bhupender Yadav, a Union Minister. He said that the receipt of the International Blue Flag Certification signified the recognition of India's commitment to protect and conserve the coastal & marine ecosystems. The total number of Indian beaches that have received the International Blue Flag Certification is now ten, eight beaches received the certification in 2020.

Kovalam (Tamil Nadu) and Eden (Puducherry) received International Blue Flag Certification.

The International Blue Flag Certification is accorded by the Foundation for Environment Education in Denmark (FEE) and the certification holds recognition all over the world.


:::Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI) and Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd (ZEEL) announced the merger of both the networks. The merger ratio has been announced as 47.07% and 52.93% to be held by ZEEL and SPNI respectively. As per the terms of the merger, both the networks will combine their digital assets, production operations, and program libraries. Sony would also invest growth capital into its accounts to take the cash balance to $1.575 billion.

SPNI currently has 26 channels and ZEEL has 49 channels. The number of channels after the merger would stand at 75.

:::Save The Children, a Non-Governmental Organization, published a report saying that children were dying every week in the overcrowded camps of North-East Syria. The report specified that two children die every week in the overcrowded camp of Al-Hol. This is a camp where the families suspected of having ties to the "Islamic State" group are stranded. The number of deaths stands at 62 for the combined camps in Al-Hol and Roj House. The report also mentioned that 73 people, including 2 children, have been murdered in Al-Hol this year till now.

Save The Children, a Non-Governmental Organization, published a report saying that children were dying every week in the overcrowded camps of North-East Syria.

A lot of this, as concluded by Save The Children, is happening because the foreign countries are leaving children of these camps vulnerable to violence, fires, malnutrition, and poor water & poor sanitation.


:::Forbes released a list of the world's highest-paid footballers. The 2021 edition of the list is topped by Christiano Ronaldo with an annual salary of $70 million and an annual endorsement value of $55 million. He is followed by Lionel Messi with $75 million in annual salary and $35 million as annual endorsement value. Neymar Junior is in third place on the list. He earned $75 million in annual salary as $20 million in annual endorsements.

Christiano Ronaldo is surpassed by only three athletes in terms of annual endorsement value. These three athletes are Roger Federer, LeBron James, and Tiger Woods with an annual endorsement value of $90 million, $65 million, and $60 million respectively.

:::Bloomberg published a report saying that Apple will give $1,000 as a one-time bonus to its staff members of the retail stores in the United States of America. The one-time bonus of $1,000 would be given to staff members who joined the retail stores before March 31, 2021. The staff members who joined the retail stores after March 31, 2021, are expected to get $500 and the new staff members are expected to get $200. The one-time bonus is being paid towards the shopping for the holiday season.

Apple will reportedly pay the one-time bonus in October 2021. The company is paying out the one-time bonus to recognize the hard work of all the staff members that they invested during the Covid-19 pandemic.


:::Anurag Mehrotra, the India Head of Ford Motor quit the company to pursue other career opportunities. His last working day in the company would be September 30, 2021.
