The heart rate monitoring function uses LED optical sensors to measure blood flow. They glow over a hundred times every second to ensure high accuracy of data which can be seen in any compatible mobile application. While the battery life is said to be up to 45 hours, every piece reportedly goes as high as 90 minutes to offer playback to the user after a single charge.
Wireless charging can be done using the case which is 33% smaller than the previous edition. Powerbeats Pro 2 is said to have been tested for more than 1,500 hours with almost a thousand athletes. Apple-owned Beats has also partnered with Lionel Messi, LeBron James, and other athletes to promote the product.
The device is rated IPX4. This reflects that it can be used by athletes without thinking about what sweat or water would do to the earphones. It can be controlled by on-device buttons or through Siri.
